Erik Olson (Novato) competed for Stanford and placed 11th in 25:23. Erik was the 2nd runner on the Stanford team that placed 3rd. The Colorado team placed 1st.

2013 BIG WEST CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

Clayton Hutchins (Drake) competed for Cal Poly and placed 18th in 26:33, running his best race of the season according to his coach, Mark Conover.  The Cal Poly team placed 1st. Clayton with the Cal Poly team trophy.

The leader of the race is Zach Bibeault of Terra Linda. In the photo he is behind Andy Ehrenberg, Fred Huxhum and Eric Bryan of Redwood who were not part of the race.  Redwood appears to be running a workout during the league meet.

Congratulation to the Tam Girls and the Redwood Boys for winning the MCAL pennant. The Tam Girls beat the Redwood Girls by 1 point to win the meet and pennant.

Next up will be the MCAL Championships held at Indian Valley College.                   Boys 3:15pm   Girls  4:00pm   Awards to follow.

Dl Conference Cross Country Championships will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013.

2013  Mt. SAC Cross Country  Invitational    Oct. 25/26

• The Branson Girls ran in the 3 mile D5 Sweepstakes race and placed 3rd. They were led by senior Allie Williams who finished in 14th place in 19:40 (6:33).
• The Redwood Girls ran in the D3 Sweepstakes race and placed 9th. Freshman Glennis Murphy led the team with a 9th place finish in 18:43 (6:14).
• The Tam Girls won the D3 Varsity race. Freshman Kate Mekley led the team finishing in 7th place in 19:34 (6;31) with junior Gianna Garza placing 8th with the time of 19:36 (6:32).
• Terra Linda sophomore Zach Bibeault ran in the D4 Boys Varsity race and finished 10th in 16:46 (5:35)
• Andy Ehrenberg, a sophomore at Redwood,, finished in 76th place in the D3 Sweepstakes race running 16:30 (5:30).

2013 Pre-Nationals       Terra Haute IN           Oct.19,2013

Erik Olson (Novato) of Stanford continues to run well this cross country season. Erik finished in 14th place running 23:44 for the 8km race, running the same time as his teammate Jim Rosa who placed 13th. The Stanford Mens team finished 4th out of 52 teams.

Clayton Hutchins (Drake) of Cal Poly is having a successful freshman season. Clayton finished in 25:14 to place 209th out of 359 runners. Cal Poly’s Mens team finished 12th.

NCAA Div l Nationals will be held on this Terra Haute course on Saturday, Nov. 23.

Sophia Noto of Drake ran a great race at the Artichoke Cross Country Invitational in Half Moon Bay on Sat. Oct. 5. Sophia placed 3rd in the Small School Race in 15:00. Sophia’s teammate Aislinn Miller also ran well to place 11th in 15:56. The Drake team finiished 4th. Photos from Drake course: Noto on left. Miller on right.

Cal Poly’s Clayton Hutchins (Drake) placed 57th in 25:05 in the Mens 8km race. The Cal Poly team placed 2nd. UCLA won the Men 8km and the Women 5km Races.. John Lawson (Drake) placed 22nd in 24:23 running unattached.
