I came across this photo recently. In the middle of the photo is a cute blond girl who has become a very talented runner. To her right is the daughter of Robyn MacSwain Berry (Terra Linda) who held the MCAL 3200m record for 30 years until the 2012 NCS Meet of Champions when this cute blond broke the 3200m record.To the left is my daughter and I have held the MCAL 1600m record for 37 years (Tam).

I coach this runner who has told me “Your record is going down.” and she is right.

Marin high school “all comers” festival at Drake on March 2, 2013

9:00 a.m.  3000 meters (all girls, then all boys, no separation into new, moderate, etc.)

9:40 a.m.  8 x 200 meter relay, 4 girls, 4 lads (no divisions;  one entry)

9:55 a.m.  100m meter hurdles, 110m high hurdles at race height (girls, boys by categories — new, moderate, advanced)

10:25 a.m. 100 meters (boys, girls, by new, moderate, advanced)

11:20 a.m. 1500  meters  (boys, girls, no separation into categories unless fields are too large)

11:45 a.m.  600 meters (boys, girls, by new, moderate, advanced)

12:00 p.m. 300 meters intermediate or low hurdles at race heights (boys, girls by new, moderate, advanced)

12:20 p.m. 300 meters  (boys, girls, by new, moderate, advanced)

Field events begin at 9:30 a.m. The girls’ vault and triple jump will begin.when the boys’ vault and the long jump are completed,

Drake Teammates Sign Letters of Intent

John Lawson of Drake signed a letter of intent to compete at UCLA. The UCLA Mens Cross Country placed 13th at the 2012 NCAA Cross County Championships.

 Clayton Hutchins of Drake signed a letter of intent to compete at Cal Poly. Longtime coach, Mark Conover, coached freshman Laura Hollander to 9th place in the  2012 NCAA Cross Country Championships.
