EPI CA State Leaders List

  • John Lawson of Drake is #4 on the Boys 3200m list with his mark of 8:58.19 from the Arcadia Invitational.
  • Julia Maxwell of Branson is #6 on the Girls 3200m list with her time of 10:40.19 from the Arcadia Invitational.

Arcadia Invitational 2013

The Arcadia Invitational is held on Friday and Saturday at Arcadia High School. This meet is one of the most competitive track meets for high school athletes in the country. All athletes that compete in the Invitational section of the meet on Saturday evening receive an Arcadia backpack.

Julia Maxwell of Branson competed in the Saturday night Womens Invitational 3200m. Julia ran a competitive race to place 12th in 10:40.19. The race was won by the 2012 CA State 3200m champion, Sarah Baxter in 10:08.76.Julia lhas the #1 MCAL All Time 3200m time with the 10:27.89 she ran at the 2012 State Meet when she placed 4th.

John Lawson of Drake competed in the Sat. night Mens Seeded 3200m. John ran a great race to place 2nd in 8:58 and he set a new PR, John moved to #3 on the MCAL All Time List.. His coach, Rod Berry, holds the Boys 3200m MCAL record in 8:50.64.

Clayton Hutchins of Drake competed in the Sat night Mens Seeded 3200m. Clayton ran a strong race to PR with a time of 9:17 and place 14th. He is now #10 on the MCAL All Time List for the 3200m.
