Brody Barkan of Drake started running Cross Country two months ago during his sophomore year at Occidental College. He moved up the ladder on his team during the season, then this past week-end finished 6th at the SCIAC championships as the #1 runner for his team. On Saturday  Nov 12  Brody Barkan competed at the NCAA  Dlll Western Regionals held in Oregon. Occidental finished 2nd and Barkan placed 14th overall. Occidental qualified for the NCAA Dlll Nationals and they will be heading to Kentucky for the NCAA Dlll National Cross Country Championships next week.
