College Update: 2015 NCAA XC Championships Results

NCAA Dl Cross Country Championships       Sat Nov 21        Louisville, Kentucky

Stanford’s Julia Maxwell (Branson) finished off a successful sophomore season running the 6km race in 21:02.6 to finish 129 out of 254 runners. The Stanford Women’s team placed 14th. The Women’s 6km race was won by Molly Siedel of Notre Dame in 19:28.6.

Washington’s Fred Huxham (Redwood) and CAL’s John Lawson (CAL) ran great races to finish 5 places and less than 2 seconds apart in the Men’s 10km Championship race. Fred ran 30:58.8 to finish 100th and John ran 31:00 to finish 105th out of 252 finishers. Oregon’s Edward Cheserek won his 3rd consecutive NCAA title in 28:45.8.

NCAA Dlll Cross Country Championships    Sat Nov 21     Oshkosh, WI

William’s Anna Harleen (Branson) sprinted to the finish to help her team win the NCAA Dlll title for the first time since 2004. Anna, a sophomore, placed 39th running the 6km course in 21:49.3. The race was won by Abrah Masterson of Cornell College in 21:23.1.              In the photo below Anna is holding the trophy on the right side.
