2013 MCAL Cross Country Championships Wed. Nov. 6, 2013 Indian Valley College
The San Rafael Boys Team won the MCAL Championships. They were led by Nassim Kabbara who finished in 4th place in 17:02. The race was won by Fred Huxhum of Redwood in 16:11. The Redwood Boys placed 2nd with Andy Ehrenberg finishing 2nd in 16:42. The Drake team placed 3rd with Matt Saunders finishing in 5th place in 17:07. Dominic Lecouturier of Marin Catholic placed 3rd in 16:55.
The Branson Girls Team won the MCAL Championships for the first time, breaking the Redwood Girls winning streak. Branson was led by Julia Maxwell who won the race in 18:51 to become the first MCAL athlete to win the MCAL Cross Country Championships 4 years in a row! Branson placed 3 runners in the top 5 with Anna Harleen placing 4th in 19:58 and Allie Williams placed 5th in 20:05. Sophia Noto of Drake placed 2nd in 19:37. Glennis Murphy of Redwood placed 3rd in 19:45 to help Redwood place 2nd. The Tam Girls team placed 3rd led by Kate Miekley who placed 6th in 20:13.
