History was made today with two Marin runners qualifying for the Footlocker National Championships with top 3 finishes at the Western Regional Race. The top 10 finishers qualify for Nationals. The course was very muddy and treacherous yesterday but the Footlocker team spent many hours getting the course ready for the races today.

Julia Maxwell and Anna Harleen of Branson raced in the Girls Seeded race. Anna was ill but she still ran tough to finish in 99th place. Julia had to work hard today as she was in about 40th place at the 800m mark. She was able to work her way up to 3rd by the mile. Julia placed 2nd in 18:15. The race was won by Marissa Williams of LA in 17:45.
